Hello everyone! My name is Shiyu Zhang, and I am currently a first-year Master’s student in Biostatistics at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, specializing in Public Health Data Science. I completed my undergraduate studies at Peking University, where I majored in Pharmaceutical Science.
My academic journey from pharmaceutical science to biostatistics reflects my strong interest in applying data science to public health, particularly in researching colorectal and lung cancer. I am passionate about using statistical methods to analyze health data, uncover insights, and contribute to better health outcomes.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing badminton and have a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese music—I also play a few traditional Chinese musical instruments. I’m excited to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions to the field of public health! If you like to learn more about me, visit this page
