Welcome to my web!!!

Hello everyone! My name is Shiyu Zhang, and I am currently a first-year Master’s student in Biostatistics at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, specializing in Public Health Data Science. I completed my undergraduate studies at Peking University, where I majored in Pharmaceutical Science.

My academic journey from pharmaceutical science to biostatistics reflects my strong interest in applying data science to public health, particularly in researching colorectal and lung cancer. I am passionate about using statistical methods to analyze health data, uncover insights, and contribute to better health outcomes.

Outside of academics, I enjoy playing badminton and have a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese music—I also play a few traditional Chinese musical instruments. I’m excited to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions to the field of public health!
